In 1968, noted local golf architect, Pete Craig put the finishing touches on what was then Rochester's newest private course, Thunder Ridge Country Club, in Rush. NY. In 1978 the course name was changed to Wild Wood Country Club and became semi-private, allowing daily fee play. Typical of his designs, Craig used much of the hilly wooded terrain and meandering creek to create one of the most picturesque courses in the area. Wild Wood offers a "picture calendar" of holes for those preferring a challenge in a scenic setting.
